Aerocom's Linear Coupler is a zone connection transfer unit for the AC3000 pneumatic tube system. It allows direct connections between zones and increases the transfer capacity of the system by decreasing the running times between high traffic stations.

A slide gate helps with deceleration of arriving carriers when priority function has been activated.

This diagram shows a Linear Coupler with 4 independent zones connected. Carriers will arrive from above and be delivered or sent out from above. The Priority Override Function allows carriers to be sorted and moved into a carrier storage separatoe unit so that carriers with STAT or Priority sending status can be moved into delivery position first.

A slide gate helps with deceleration of arriving carriers. The separator storage unit allows carriers to be moved from one zone to the proper receiving zone for delivery.

This diagram shows a Linear Coupler with 4 independent zones connected. Carriers will arrive from above and be delivered or sent out from below. These units are beneficial when several zones need to be inter-connected and high traffic volume is a concern. The Priority Override Function is not available with the 1 x 4 and 1 x 6 units.

Linear Coupler Schematic Diagram with Inter-Zone Direct Connection

Individual zones can be connected with specific configuration of diverters, independent from the linear coupler transfer unit. This allows the transfer of carriers from one zone to the other without passing through the coupler or taking long routes. Inter-Zone connections are made strategically within system routing to alleviate high volume traffic areas.
